KARGIL, Aug 13: In a patriotic gesture ahead of Independence Day, the Army in collaboration with PM Shri Government High School Thasgam, Drass, organized a friendly Volleyball match between Army personnel and school students.
Played in a spirited atmosphere, the Army team defeated the school team by 3-1, but the event was more about unity and national pride than competition. The match aimed to honour freedom fighters and strengthens bonds between the Armed Forces and the local community.
School staff and Army officials praised the initiative, highlighting its role in promoting discipline, teamwork and patriotism among the youth. The event concluded with warm handshakes, smiles and a shared sense of national pride.
