JAMMU, June 18: Virat Cricket Club crushed Nagrota Cricket Club by a huge margin of 156 runs in the ongoing JKCA Jammu District Cricket Tournament, being played at GGM Science College ground, here.
The Tournament is being held under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad, Administrator JKCA; Chairmanship of Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA and the supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Member JKCA and Member Judicial State Human Rights Commission.
Earlier, batting first, Virat Club scored a good total of 279 runs in 32.4 overs. Vikaran Bali top scored with 61 runs, while Jagjot Singh, Atinder and Gurvinder contributed 45, 41 and 39 runs to the total respectively. From Nagrota Club, Niju took 3 wickets, while Darshan and Rahul claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Nagrota Cricket Club bundled out for 123 runs in 25.5 overs to lose the match by a big margin of 156 runs. Raghu and Rahul contributed 30 and 20 runs to the total respectively. From Virat Cricket Club, Vivek Thakur was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 4 important wickets, while Vikaran Bali bagged 3 wickets and Aman claimed 2. Vikaran Bali was adjudged as the man of the match for his all-round show.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rahul Hussain as umpires, while Saleem-ur-Rehman was the scorer.
