KATHUA, Feb 3: Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua celebrated a proud moment as student Vibhuti Sharma secured first prize in the Universal Postal Union (UPU) Letter Writing Competition for Young People, held last year. She was awarded a cash prize of Rs 25,000 along with a certificate, bringing laurels to the institution. The competition was based on the theme, “Imagine you are the ocean. Write a letter to someone explaining why and how they should take good care of you.”
Vibhuti’s achievement reflects her creativity, originality and environmental sensitivity, nurtured under the guidance of Roopali Tandon, TGT English. To mark the achievement, a felicitation ceremony was organised, graced by Devireddy S V R Murthy (IPOS), Chief Postmaster General, J&K Postal Circle, Shah Nawaz Khan (Senior Superintendent of Posts, Jammu Postal Division) and Surinder Sharma (Assistant Superintendent of Posts, Kathua Subdivision).
The programme began with a card and sapling ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Principal Mili R Sumbria and a welcome song by students. Vibhuti and her parents were felicitated amid applause. Arti Rajput presented the vote of thanks, appreciating all stakeholders for their support.
