Vansh, Chotu Lal selected for Commonwealth Fencing C’ship

JAMMU, Apr 22: Vansh Mahajan and Shotu Lal Sharma have been selected   from the J&K State to represent India in Commonwealth Fencing Championship to be held in the month of July at Cape Town in South Africa.
Vansh has recently clinched bronze medal in the 11th Cadet National Fencing Championship held at Bhilali in Chattisgarh.
As per the reports, Minister for Sports, Imran Raza Ansari has lauded the efforts of Vansh (player) and his coach (Chotu) for this landmark achievement.
It is pertinent to mention here that the young fencer has won  eight  medals in the  different competitions including nationals.
Vansh considers ace fencers Rashid Ahmed and  Ujjwal  Gupta  as his idols.
