JAMMU, Nov 7: UDCC defeated Shri Cricket Club in the ongoing 2nd Diwali Cup Cricket Tournament, being organized by Youth Welfare Association Cricket Club Simbal Camp at Government Boys High School, Simbal Camp, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, UDC made 207 runs by losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Jagandeep Singh scored 112, Vikrant 30 and Rompy contributed 23 runs.
For Bowling Shri Cricket Club side, Paramjeet scalped 2 wickets by giving 30 runs in 4 overs, while Karan and Sahil took one wicket each.
Batting second Shri Cricket Club scored 191 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and lost match by 16 runs. Ajeet 40, Monu 38, Balli 35 and Lara contributed 16 runs to the innings.
Bowling UDCC side, Sahil scalped 2 wickets by giving 23 runs in 4 overs, Parnav Gupta, Rompy and Mittu claimed one wickets each in this innings.
Jagandeep Singh of UDCC, who hit first hundred of the tournament was adjudged as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh (Physical master) and Harcharan Singh as umpires, while Satvir Singh maintained the scorebook.
