SIMBAL, Dec 26: Outplaying Dashmesh Club Digiana by a narrow margin of 9 runs, UCC Jammu entered into the semifinals of the ongoing Mahant Bachittar Singh Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Simbal Camp Welfare Association at Government High School ground, here.
Batting first, UCC scored 117 runs in 19 overs. MP Singh was the top scorer with 33 runs, while Rathi contributed 18 runs to the total. Chamkor Singh and Amandeep Singh chipped in with 10 runs each. For Dashmesh Club, Sunny took 3 wickets, while Vishal, Kulbir and Kala claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Dashmesh Club managed to score 108 runs in the allotted 20 overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 9 runs. Makhan to scored with 30 runs, while Bika and Sukhu contributed 24 and 18 runs to the total respectively. For UCC, Aman, Chamkor and Danny shared 2 wickets each. MP Singh was adjudged man of the match.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh Kali and Mantoo as umpires, while Swaran Singh was the scorer.
