Two-Day Kathua District Judo C’ship concludes

KATHUA, Aug 8: Kathua District Judo Championship concluded at DCC here today, organized by Kathua District Judo Association under the aegis of Judo Association of J&K and J&K Sports Council. Around 100 judokas from across the district showcased their skills and sportsmanship over the two-day event.
Shakti Gupta, Senior Judo Coach at DCC Kathua, officiated the bouts, ensuring fair and professional competition. Joginder Kumar, Manager DCC Kathua, was the chief guest, who distributed medals and certificates among the winners. Manish Chatwal was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Gold medallists included Mohd Ashiq, Anshika, Shagufta, Tanmay, Mandeep, Sunaina, Smeena Akhter, Sonam, Komal among others. Siranshi, Amyera, Arti, and Vipul Yashorwadhan won silver, while Pankaj Sharma, Sarika, Jishan, Vishal and others secured bronze. The championship concluded with appreciation for all participants and encouragement for continued dedication to the sport.
