Tiwari slams cracking ton as Jarkhand gains first innings lead

Jammu, Jan 9: Saurabh Tiwari scored a magnificent century (134) as Jarkhand gained a vital first innings lead against Jammu and Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy Group C match at GGM Science college hostel ground here today. Earlier after resuming the innings from overnight score of 9/0, Jarkhand scored a good total of 319/9 to gain a vital lead 168 runs before declaring their innings. Apart from Tiwari, Kumar Deborat scored valuable 74 runs. From Jammu and Kashmir, skipper Parveez Rasool took 4 important wickets while Rasikh salam bagged 3 wickets. Govind and Shubam Khujuria took one wicket each.
J&K, in their second essay were 24/0 with Qamran Iqbal at unbeaten 11 and Shubam Khujuria on 9 at the crease at stumps on day 3 today.
J&K in their first innings had scored 151 runs with Ovais Shah scoring spelend 76 runs.
