Thalora Kings clinches Cricket tourney

SAMBA, June 13: Thalora Kings Eleven emerged victorious in the Veer Abhimanyu Singh Memorial Night Cricket Tournament held at Thalora Mandi Sports Ground here, defeating Shaheed Sukhdev Singh Cricket Club Sangwali in the final. Sukhdev Club won the toss and posted 117 runs in 12 overs. Thalora Kings successfully chased the target in 11 overs, losing just two wickets.
Captain Abhishek Sambyal led from the front, scoring a blistering 58 runs off 23 balls, supported by Vishavjeet Singh Vishu with 38 runs and Anant Singh with 20 runs. Harsh Dev Singh and Rajat Sambyal took one wicket each.
Out of 32 teams that participated, Abhishek Sambyal was named Man of the Match, while Vishavjeet Singh Vishu won Best Player of the Tournament. SP Garu Ram, the chief guest, praised the youth for promoting sports and highlighted the role of such tournaments in keeping youth away from drugs.
