Tamojit, Yogesh, Deep, Dheeraj, Atul advance in Chess Tournament

JAMMU, Oct 14: Tamojit Chakarborty of Bengal, Yogesh Gautam of Haryana, Deep Kapoor of Delhi, Dheeraj Dubey of MP and Atul Kumar of J&K, thrashed their respective opponents and sailed into next stage of the ongoing All India Fide Rating Chess Tournament organized by All J&K Chess Association under the banner of All India Chess Federation at Patnitop.
Now, Tamojit Chakraborty of Bengal, Yogesh Gautam of Haryana and Deep Kapoor of Delhi were leading with six points each after 7 rounds of the tournament.
Tamojit Chakrrborty thrashed Nicklesh Jain of MP, whereas, in the second contest, Yogesh Gautam of Haryana trounced Khaja Abdul Latheef of AP.
In the third match, Deep Kapoor of Delhi studded Piyush Manuja of Chandigarh, whereas, in the fourth match of the day, Dheeraj Dubey of MP outplayed Ravi Sharma of J&K.
In the fifth and last match of the day, Atul Kumar of J&K routed Anshuman Singh of MP.
Yashpal Arora of MP was the Chief Arbiter, while, the matches were supervised by Baldev Raj, secretary, All J&K Chess Association.
