JAMMU, July 29: The historic Talent Hunt 2022 followed by a series of tournaments, have provided enough time to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) to prepare different age group teams for representing J&K in various forthcoming BCCI tournaments this season. JKCA despite not finding much time last season to prepare teams, some teams did fabulously well and we are hopeful that the teams will perform much better this season.
This was stated by Mithun Manhas, Member Cricket Operations and Development JKCA on feeling satisfaction over the successful conduct of Talent Hunt 2022.
“JKCA has started Talent Hunt 2022 in April before the commencement of a series of One-Day and Multi-Day Tournaments to unearth raw talen. Now we have enough time to train talented cricketers in different age groups and prepare them for BCCI’s domestic tournaments. The Sub Committee Members of JKCA including Brig Anil Gupta, Member-Administration JKCA; Advocate Sunil Sethi, Member Legal Affairs and me feel satisfied with this historic initiative which is at the verge of its conclusion now and was never a custom in JKCA earlier, “said Mr Manhas.
While extending thanks to all the officials involved in this intiative for doing their jobs in a befitting manner, Manhas advised all concerned to work as a cohesive unit to promote cricket and cricketers in the Union Territory.
Meanwhile, rain again forced organisers to call off play at both the venues of JKCA’s Senior Men’s Multi-Day Tournament in Jammu today, while the match at SK Stadium Srinagar Ground-A was played despite rain interruptions.
