Symposium, Slogan Writing, Poster Competition held

JAMMU, Jan 28: Inter-College Symposium, Slogan Writing and Poster Making competition was held in R M College of Education, Chowadhi, Sainik Colony, here today.
RM College organized it in collaboration with IOCL and Axis Bank Chowadhi.
MLC Vijay Bakaya was the chief guest on the occasion, while Girish Ranjan Senior Divisional Manager Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, SK Jain, president Vichar Kranti Manch) and Vinay Saini, Manager Axis Bank were the guests of honour.
Dr Sarfaraz Asgher, Deptt of Geography, University of Jammu, Parimal Kumar, Manager IOCL and Trustee  Rita Mengi were the adjudicators.
Principal PK Dhar, was present on the occasion.
The function started with lighting of the traditional lamp. The college students presented a Saraswati Vandana followed by welcome address by the Principal.
Chairman of the College, Rameshwar Mengi declared the results and congratulated all the students who participated in various events. Participants and winners were given away certificates and mementoes by the dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, SK Jain appreciated the efforts put in by students who expressed their views through speech, poster making and slogan writing. Chief guest Vijay Bakaya lauded the role of management in spreading better education in the society. He stressed upon the importance of natural products and conservation of fuel and gas. He maintained that conservation of natural resources can save many things having deficiency in the country.
Speakers from more than 25 private and Govt colleges participated in the event.
The programme was compared by Harpreet Kour and vote of thanks was presented by Priyanka Sharma.
The participating Colleges included Govt PG College of Education, MAM College, MIER College of Education, Atman College of Education, JK College of Education, Galaxy College of Education, Handa College of Education, Ranjit College of Education, RM College of Education, New Modern College of Education and Sai Shyam College of Education.
