SAMBA, Mar 28: Jammu and Kashmir State Sub- Junior Kho Kho Championship for boys and girls began at Navvidhyalaya Hr. Secondary School, Dhalot Samba in which 8 boys and 7 girls teams are participating.
Sheetal Nanda, Deputy Commissioner, Samba was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking lauded the role of J&K State Kho-Kho Association for organizing these type of State Championships.
S Manmeet Singh, president J&K State Kho-Kho Association, while addressing assured that Association is committed for the promotion of Kho-Kho in the State and applauded the role of organizing secretary of the event.
The inaugural match was played between Jammu and Kathua District In girls section, which was won by Jammu District by 9 points and an inning whereas in men’s section, Kathua defeated Kulgam by 10 points .
Prominent among others present on the occasion were BS Tirthi, Harjit Singh, Pankaj Malhotra and Vinod Kumar.
The matches were officiated by Anil Kumar, Balbir Manmohan, Shibali, Pooja and Surbi.
Krishan Singh presented the vote of thanks.
