KATRA, Mar 28: 6th Annual Bhagtha Kesari Dangal 2016 was organized by Peer Baba Jakh Devta Dangal Committee Bhagtha in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of president Bhagtha Dangal Committee Ram Singh and Sat Paul Singh at Village Bhagtha in Tehsil Katra District Reasi.
51 bouts were played in the one day long wrestling event.
The first main bout was fought between wrestler Ishaq (Lalu) of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu and wrestler Ajay Kumar Sharma of Landon Power House, Udhampur. This bout ended in a draw that lasted for 17 minutes and both the Wrestlers Jointly awarded with cash prize of Rs. 8,000/- by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Ram Singh and Sat Paul Singh.
Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Jammu, who is also Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India and president J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion who gave cash prizes to the winner and runner-up wrestlers. President of Bhagtha Dangal Committee Ram Singh presided over the function. President Travel Agents Association Katra Ashwani Kumar Sanmotra (Ashu) was the guest of honour.
Peer Baba Jakh Devta Dangal Committee and Technical officials who helped for the conduct of Dangal included Ram Singh (President), Sat Paul Singh, Angrej Singh, Jagdev Singh, Vipan Kotwal, Hari Chand, Ravi Kumar, Heem Raj, Hemat Singh Wazir, Vakeel Singh, Ram Chand, Tulinder Kumar and Murli Dhar (Munna).
The proceeding of the Dangal were conducted by Tulinder Kumar, while welcome address was presented by Ram Singh. The vote of thanks was presented by Sat Paul Singh.
