JAMMU, Nov 12: SSP Jammu, Shridhar Patil flanked by SP Hqrs Jammu Aadil Hamid, SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SHO Miran Sahib Harmohinder Singh inaugurated Day and Night Cricket tournament at Simbal, here today.
About 32 teams from Jammu district are participating in this tournament. The event will be organised on knockout basis.
The chief guest announced that the winning team of the tournament will be awarded with Rs 30000 cash prize while runner-up team with Rs 15000 cash prize along with trophies. “We want to channelize the energy of the youth and this is a start in that direction”, said SSP Patil.
The opening match was played between Simbal Youth Club and Kolkata Knight Riders wherein the former won the match by six runs.
