Sports events under RGKA organized

SAMBA, Oct 27: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, organized sports event of Under-19 and Under-25 girls, under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA), at Arazi Stadium, here today.
The event was organized under the overall supervision of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, Madan Lal, who while addressing the students advised them to maintain balance between sports and studies for their bright future.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were ZPEOs Rakesh Verma, B D Sharma, Vijay Singh Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Raghubir Singh.
The sports events were held in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi and Athletics.
In Volleyball final, Samba Block drubbed Ghagwal by 2-1 Sets, while in Kho-Kho summit clash, Samba Block trounced Ghagwal Block 10 points and in Kabbadi title clash, Samba Block got better of Vijaypur Block by 15 points.
The matches were officiated by Romesh Mishra, Dharam Pal Thappa, Anirudh Singh Slathia, Kulbir Singh, Rajinder Singh Slathia, Dhanraj Singh Slathia, Sandeep Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Keshav Singh, Sumant Singh, Sanjay Gupta, Kranti Khajuria, Zorawar Singh Sambyal, Raj Kumar, Purab Chander, Krishan Kumar, Naresh Sharma, Roopa Sambyal, Sushma Sambyal, Asha Rani, Sudesh Kumari, Meenakshi Sambyal, Shashi Sambyal and Sarita.
