RAJOURI, Nov 18: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri is buzzing with energy as the Sports Events 2025 continue in full swing at the university campus. Students from various departments are participating with great enthusiasm, showcasing exceptional athletic talent and strong sportsmanship.
A diverse lineup of sporting competitions is underway, including Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom, Tug-of-War and several other activities, drawing widespread participation and creating a lively competitive environment.
Abhishek Sharma, Registrar, BGSBU, praised the Department of Sports and Physical Education for the smooth conduct of the events. “These sports activities foster unity, confidence, and a healthy competitive spirit among students,” he said.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Jawaid Iqbal expressed delight at the active involvement of the student community. “Sports play a crucial role in shaping discipline, leadership and physical well-being. I am pleased to see our students participating with such passion,” he added.
The event is being organised by a dedicated team comprising Rakesh Singh Sambyal (I/C Director, Directorate of Physical Education and Sports), Dr. Parvez Alam, Dr. Naseem Gul, Dr. Manmeet Singh, Zishan Aslam, Arshad Ahmad Bhat, Ch. Yassar Arafat, Junaid Farooq War, Vishal Sharma, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, Mohd Arif, Dr. Neetan Sharma, Shahnaz Anjum, Dr. Mamta Bhat, Ankita Runani and other supporting staff.
