Sports event for girls inaugurated at Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, Aug 3: To promote competitive sports activities among girls residing in remote areas of the mountainous district Doda, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs organised under-19 sports tournament which was inaugurated here today.
Around 123 girls from four Government Girls Higher Secondary Schools are participating in different games including Kabaddi, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Tug-of-War, Badminton, Chess, Carrom and Athletics at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Bhaderwah.
Principal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Bhaderwah Shafayat Ali was the chief guest, who inaugurated the event, which is being organised under the overall supervision of Zonal Education Planning Officer (ZEPO) Bhaderwah Vijay Kotwal.
The matches were officiated by Abdul Haq Sheikh, Leena Kotwal, Murtaza Qadir, Suresh Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Mubashir Qadir, Satish Kumar, Mudassir Maqbool, Rehana Iqbal, Reeta Devi along with Aqib Javed, Needi Sharma and Sajid Butt.
