SPMR College, GCW Gandhi Nagar lift Kabaddi Inter-Collegiate Trophy

JAMMU, Dec 17: The final matches of Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (Men and Women) Tournaments, being organised by Cluster University of Jammu were played in GCW Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Dr Sangita Nagari, Principal GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
In Men’s section, the final match was played between SPMR College of Commerce and Government MAM College in which SPMR College of Commerce beat Government MAM College by 38-27. Mohammad Asif, Rahil and Bhawani of SPMR College of Commerce played the vital role in the match. Amirit Dev Singh, Narinder Singh and Aman Lalotra performed well for Government MAM College. Mohammad Asif of SPMR College of Commerce was the Man of the Tournament who has shown excellent performance during the tournament.
In Women section, GCW Gandhi Nagar beat SPMR College of Commerce by 40-14 and lifted the trophy. Anjana Devi, Ruchika Singh and Himanshu Devi played very well for GCW Gandhi Nagar College, whereas Deepika Sharma and Ritika Tandan performed well for SPMR College of Commerce.
The tournament was played under the supervision of Dr Roopali Slathia, Physical Director GCW Gandhi Nagar and under the overall supervision of Dr Vinod Bakshi, Physical Director GGM Science College Jammu and Sports Coordinator Cluster University of Jammu.
Prof Yash Paul Convenor Sports Committee, GCW Gandhi Nagar, Prof Isha Goel, Prof Renu Sehgal, Prof Jagmeet Kour, Aijaz Malik, Physical Director SPMR College of Commerce and Neenu Sawhney, Physical Director Government MAM College and participants of the sports events were present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Aman Preet Singh, Keshav Singh and Dheeraj Sharma.
