JAMMU, Dec 18: The 10th State Speedball Championship was held here today.
Vice Chancellor University of Jammu Prof Manoj Dhar inaugurated the championship at gymnasium hall of the varsity.
The championship was organized by J&K Sports Speedball Association in collaboration with Jammu University.
About 400 students from different schools of Jammu Province are participating in this championship.
Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Founder Patron of Speedball Association Pooja Malhotra, Senior Vice President VK Gupta, Vice President Gourav Abrol, Chief Advisor VK Sharma, Event Director Anil Nanda, Media Incharge Pawan Kumar, Atul Hans, Co-ordinator APS Jammu Cant, Asha Rani, Jasmeet Kour, Sunny Nanda General Secretary of the association and many others were present on the occasion.
In the closing ceremony, Anil Gupta Senior BJP leader was the chief guest and SK Jolly, businessman was guest. They distributed the medals among the winners. Army School Udhampur emerged overall winner, while JP World School clinched second position.
