JAMMU, Feb 24: Spartan Cricket Club defeated Bhatia Cricket Academy in an exciting contest by 3 runs at Bishnah, near here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, Spartan Cricket Club scored 141 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Karan Kumar was the top scorer with 57 runs off 42 balls, while Akshay Manhas contributed 28 runs in equal number of balls.
In reply, Bhatia Cricket Academy scored 138 runs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 3 runs. Gaurav scored brilliant 57 runs off 38 balls. For Spartan Cricket Club, Karan and Akshay took 2 wickets each. Karan Kumar was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round performance, while Amar Singh was declared as the best fielder.
