SMVDSB distributes sports equipment to Govt schools in Reasi

REASI, Feb 5: In a notable social support initiative aimed at promoting physical fitness and encouraging a sports culture among students, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) today distributed sports equipment to nine Government schools of Reasi district. The initiative follows successful renovation and restoration of several Government schools by Shrine Board, reaffirming its commitment to holistic development in the region.
The beneficiary schools included Government Primary School Upper Sirla, Mehari, Government Middle School Sarna, Government Middle School Arli, Government Middle School Kundrorian, Government High School Bhaga, Government High School Katra, Government High School Dhanori and Government Higher Secondary School, Katra. The sports equipment distributed comprised footballs, volleyballs, basketballs, badminton rackets, shuttlecocks, table tennis kits and various indoor games, which were formally handed over to the concerned school authorities for student use.
Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB, stated that under the visionary leadership of Manoj Sinha, Chairman, SMVDSB and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, the Shrine Board remains steadfast in empowering youth and nurturing sporting talent. He emphasized that the initiative would benefit hundreds of students from rural and semi-urban areas who often lack access to adequate sports infrastructure.
