JAMMU, Sept 28: Dr SM Bali, Ashwani Raina and Krishan Lal were re-elected president, general secretary and treasurer of J&K Handball Association respectively in the annual general meeting of the Association held at Vivek Hotel, here today.
The election was held under the election commissioner, N P Nanda and in the supervision of J&K State Sports Council observers Shiv Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, Rahil Gupta, member and Rajan Sharma, Sports Officer Jammu and an observer from Handball Federation of India.
Kuldeep Singh was elected chairman of the Association, while Ashok Kumar and Ramanand Khajuria were elected as senior vice presidents.
Ranjeet Singh Chib, International player and Gurdeep Singh were elected vice president, while Rajinder Kumar, Nisar Ahmed and Mohd Arif were elected as joint secretaries.
Sandeep Verma was nominated as press secretary of the Association, while Sanjeev Jamwal, Ashwani Sharma and Mohd Yousaf Dar were named as executive members.
NP Nanda was named chairman disciplinary committee.
After his election, president Dr Bali assured his team that he will leave no stone unturned in promoting Handball in nooks and corners of the State. He was authorized to take up matter regarding infrastructure, equipment and pending liabilities with Secretary State Sports Council.
