Six FCs reach 2nd leg of Auricrown Football Champions Cup

JAMMU, Oct 12: Six Football Clubs (FCs) have reached in 2nd leg of the Auricrown Football Champions Cup, being played at Sainik Colony Football Ground, here today.
These Clubs include Dogra FC who registered win by 2-0 over Udhampur FC, Allianz FC emerged winner by1-0 over Sainik FC (C) and Star FC beat Auricrown FC by 1-0, besides Shree Ram FC defeated Auricrown Football Club (B) by a wide margin by 6-1, whereas Young Star (B) trounced SFA Young by a margin of 4-3 through penalty kicks and Shaheen Football Club got better of SFA FC by 6-5 goals. Kartik, Rajdeep Singh, Gagandeep, Rishabh, Mantek Singh and Kushal have been declared as Men of the Matches of the last six matches.
The tournament is being organized by Auricrown Private Limited in collaboration with Sainik FC Sainik Colony, which was inaugurated by Divisional Sports Officer Jammu Ashok Singh Jamwal yesterday as a chief guest of the inaugural function.
J&K’s international footballer, Arun Malhotra was the guest of honour who expressed happiness over the special focus of the Government on sports promotion through social, print & electronic media across the length & breadth of the country.
Surinder Sharma, president Sainik FC Jammu revealed that the Football tournament is being organized on knockout basis wherein 32 teams from Jammu, Kathua and Udhampur districts are taking part, whereas Manik Sharma was the anchor of the event.
