Sidhra thrashes Manwal, lifts Open Volleyball Tourney title

JAMMU, Mar 31: Sidhra team has emerged as winner, whereas Manwal team got the runner-up trophy in the Open Volleyball Tournament organised by Jammu Kashmir Police (JKP) under Civic Action Programme at Youth Hostel Khanpur Nagrota.
A total of five volleyball teams participated from Manwal, Jhajjar Kotli, Jagti (Local), Jagti Migrants and Sidhra.
On the occasion, Rameshwer Dutt was the chief guest who presented trophies to the winner as well as runner up teams besides mementoes and suitable cash rewards to all the players of both the teams in presence of guest of honour of the occasion Raman Wazir, NN Singh, OC 137 BN CRPF, Thorru Ram, Choudhary Mohammad Alam, Choudhary Liyaqat Ali Nayeemi, Rajesh Samayal, Tariq Ahmed and Anil Shan.
Khaliq Hussain, DySP, SDPO Nagrota who has organized the tournament on behalf of SSP Jammu was also present along with Ahjaz Zargar, DySP Probationer, SHO Nagrota, Sub Inspector Mohammad Arif, incharge PP Sidhra and other police staff.
Large number of people witnessed the volleyball matches and boosts the morale of players by thundering applauses.
