JAMMU, May 13: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar, solemnly celebrated the 114th birth anniversary of its Founder Principal, Late Dev Dutt Mengi, with spiritual fervour and heartfelt reverence.
The event commenced with a Pooja ceremony dedicated to Maa Saraswati, symbolizing the institution’s dedication to values instilled by its founder. The gathering included prominent members of the Shiksha Niketan family: Principal Rameshwar Mengi, Director of RMPS Rakshan Mengi, Director of Shiksha Niketan Gandhi Nagar and Pushp Vatika Risheek Mengi and Headmaster of Jeevan Nagar branch Harish Sharma. Incharges of the Primary, Middle, High and Higher Secondary wings, along with all staff members, were also present.
Principal Rameshwar Mengi delivered the welcome address, reflecting on the life, values and contributions of Late Dev Dutt Mengi, whose visionary leadership laid the foundation of the institution.
The ceremony concluded with a Preeti Bhoj (Langer), promoting unity and shared purpose among all staff members. The celebration was a tribute to the ideals of Late Dev Dutt Mengi and the enduring legacy he left behind.
