KARGIL, May 21: As an annual feature, youths of Kaksar Kargil organized mega cricket tournament in collaboration with Army Unit of Kaksar, under the supervision of 121 Infantry Brigade, here today.
32 teams from all over the district participated in the tournament and the final match was played between Sheena Kings Eleven and Skarchan Latoo team, wherein Sheena Kings Eleven emerged winner by 5 wickets.
Commander 121 Infantry Brigade was chief guest and Mohmad Hamza Chairman Sewak NGO Kargil was the guest of honour, who distributed trophies and other prizes among the winners and runners-up teams
Among others Civil officers, Commanding Officers of all Units and media persons were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Commander 121 Infantry Brigade Kargil appreciated the role of the public of Kargil during war and appreciated the organizers for holding the tournament in the memory of Kargil heroes.
Tributes were paid to late Captain Surabh Kaliya and other martyrs on the occasion.
