UDHMAPUR, May 21: Youth Services & Sports department organized District Level Inter Zonal tournament for boys under 14 years and under 17 years in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball here today.
District Youth Services & Sports Officer Sudesh Kumar declared the tournament open in which 576 boys drawn from 11 zones of the district participated.
Under-14 years, Kabaddi and Volleyball, zone Tikri won by defeating zone Udhampur in both the categories. Zone Chenani clinched under 14 years and under 17 years Kho-Kho tittles by defeating Zone Udhampur. In under 17 years Kabaddi match, Zone Jib was declared winner while Zone Dudu came second.
Moreover, Zone Tikri clinched the title of under 17 years Volleyball by defeating Zone Ramnagar.
Among other ZPEOs Udhampur, Santosh Kuamri, ZPEO Chanani Ramlal Badyal, ZPEO Babey Satish Gupta, ZPEO Panchari Pawan Sharma, ZPEO Kulwanta Ashok Raina and ZPEO Jib Poonam Sharma alongwith Jaswinder Singh, Sanjay Gupta and Sarabjeet Singh from Medical Department were present on the occasion.
