JAMMU, May 19: Sharda Cricket Club lifted the KPL Veteran Cup-23 title after a thrilling win over Rajeev Sameer Cricket Club at KC Sports Club Ground, Jammu.
Batting first, Sharda Cricket Club posted 139 runs in 19 overs, powered by a fine knock of 53 runs by Vineet Raina, with Manmohan Raina (29) and Anil Raina (26) contributing valuable runs. From the bowling side, Sunny bagged three wickets, while Sumit Dhar and Sunil Dhar picked up two each.
In reply, Rajeev Sameer Cricket Club fell short by 9 runs, despite strong performances from Sumit Dhar (36), Amit Wali (33) and Sunny (32). Manmohan Raina was named Man of the Match for his all-round display. Anil Raina was declared Man of the Series and Best Batsman, Surinder Raina as Best Bowler and Saksham Koul as the Emerging Player.
The event was organized by Sanjeev Kant Sharma, Anil Ambardar and Sanjay Koul, with dignitaries including Ramesh Kumar Raina in attendance.
