SRINAGAR, July 4: The stage is set for a thrilling finale as Shaheen Sports Lalpora and Friends XI Lolab advanced to the final of the Lolab Premier League, following two action-packed semifinals held at Chandigam.
In the first semi-final, Shaheen Sports Lalpora narrowly defeated Young Lords Diver by 3 runs. Shahid Mir starred with a blistering 79 off 45 balls, helping his team post 157/7. Despite valiant efforts from Bhat Zameer (40) and Rizwan Mohiudin (34), Young Lords Diver fell short, ending at 154/9. Shahid Mir was named Man of the Match.
The second semi-final saw Friends XI Lolab dominate Lolab Reds Kuligam, winning by 8 wickets. Meer Tahir’s devastating 5-wicket haul restricted the Reds to 113/8. Pirzada Zeeshan then smashed 60 off 25 balls to chase down the target in just 7.3 overs. Tahir earned Man of the Match award. The much-anticipated final will be played on Sunday.
