Shahdab guides FCC Ghat to semis of Gufran T20

DODA, June 14: Riding on a superb knock of 81 runs by Shahdab Wani, Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Ghat scripted a narrow win by 6 runs over formidable team of Central Railways Nagpur and entered the semifinals of the ongoing All India 8th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium, here.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, FCC Ghat scored a decent total of 150 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 6 wickets in the process. Shahdab Wani played a power-packed innings of 81 runs in just 45 balls, which included 13 boundaries and 4 sixes, while Sapan contributed 27 runs to the total. For Central Railways Nagpur, Shalesh and Nitish shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, Central Railways team fell short of just 6 runs as they scored 144 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Shashank top scored with 33 runs, while Viraj Kamde contributed 29 runs to the total. For FCC Ghat, Amit was the pick of the bowlers, who scalped 3 important wickets, while Aditya took one wicket. Shahdab Wani of FCC Ghat was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant batting performance. He was presented a cash prize and trophy by Dy SP (CID), Mohammad Saleem, the chief guest on the occasion.
The match was officiated by Sanjay Singh and Subash Mathur as umpires, while Shahid Bashir Pampoori acted as the scorer.
