SFA’s Football League Phase-II gets underway

JAMMU, July 14: State Football Academy of J&K State Sports Council kick started Inter SFA Football League Phase-II at TRC Turf in which winners of Kashmir  Clusters teams are competing  against each.
In the first match, SFA Baramulla Under-13 defeated SFA Pulwama by two goals to nil (2-0). SFA Baramulla dominated the game from the word go and maintained the pressure on the rival players.
Obaid scored the first goal from the Baramulla in the 15th minute of the game and the lead was doubled by Farjyad in the 40th minute to finally help the team win by two goals to nil (2-0). Through this win SFA Baramulla secured 3 points.
In the second match between SFA Pulwama and SFA Kupwara in Under-15 category, the players of both the teams showed extraordinary skills and scored a goal each in the stipulated time to share one point each. Faizan scored a goal from Pulwama, while Obaid netted it for Kupwara.
The 3rd match in Under-18 category was a tight affair between SFA Baramulla and SFA Kulgam, wherein SFA Baramulla scripted a solitary goal win (1-0) over their rivals. Shahid was the lone goal scorer from SFA Baramulla. Baramulla secured all the three pomts in the match.
Ace International Player and In-charge SFA Mehraj-Ud-Din Wadoo witnessed all the matches and scouted the players for upcoming competitions.
Joint Secretary (K) Sports Council, Nazir Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion, who later encouraged the players with motivational words.
The League is being played under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association JKFA.
