KARGIL, Sept 16: Self Defence Camp for girl students of Middle Schools by Ladakh Taekwondo Association concluded at Drass Zone today.
In Ladakh, Zonal Education Officer Drass Abdul Majeed Lone presided over the concluding function as chief guest. ZEO Drass also presented mementos to outstanding students.
The camp was organized by Ladakh Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Education Department Kargil under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and conducted by international player and coaches of Ladakh Taekwondo Association at 10 Different Clusters of Drass.
In his address, ZEO Drass Abdul Majeed Lone urged upon the girl students to pursue sports as a profession which he stated has a greater and better scope in future.
Mohammad Ali Baghi Casher Ladakh Taekwondo Association assured that if any student of these schools wanted to participate in the upcoming district championship will be allowed to participate.
Meanwhile, Abdul Majeed Lone on behalf of Ladakh Taekwondo Association presented mementos to one of the outstanding students of each school.
He also presented a T-Shirt as Souvenir to Journalist from Drass Mohammad Salim Drass for his contribution in promotion of Drass at National Level media.
General Secretary Ladakh Taekwondo Association Anayat Ali who also spoke on the occasion said that on behalf of the Ladakh Taekwondo Association he is thankful to Chief Education Officer Kargil, ZEO Drass and headmasters of the Middle Schools and coaches for their support and contribution in making the camp successful.
