SOPORE, July 17: Formidable side of Seer Sports scripted a narrow win by 11 runs over MCC Reds Sopore in the ongoing 1st Sopore T20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by J&K Police Department, under Civic Action Programme at Khushal Stadium, here.
Electing to bat first, Seer Sports scored a modest total of 132 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process.
In reply, MCC Reds bundled out for a paltry total of 121 runs in 19 overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 11 runs. Muddasir Ahmed was declared as man of the match for his all-round display.
Meanwhile, in another match, PCC Dharnambal defeated Coaching Centre Sopore by 11 runs in a close contest. PCC scored 129 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs, while in return Coaching Centre collapsed at 118 runs to lose the match by 11 runs. Abdul Hameed was adjudged man of the match for taking 3 wickets and scoring 27 valuable runs.
