Prinkle Singh of Jammu and Kashmir displayed her talent as she overpowered Gurneek Bhundal without dropping even a single game 6-0, 6-0 in the girls under-16 singles pre-quarter-final match round of the CLTA-AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament, here today.
Meanwhile, despite losing the first set, Param Pun changed his strategy to snatch the next two games and end the challenge of Ravjeet Singh in thre e sets 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the boys under-16 pre-quarter-final.
In another well-fought pre-quarter-final fixture Anshuman Gulia got the better of Ishaan Kakkar in three well-contested sets 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-3. Nihit Rawal of Harvest Tennis Academy of Jassowal (Ludhiana) moved into quarter-final after disposing of the challenge of Dhruv Arya 6-4, 6-3.
Jotpal Singh and Manjot Singh also maintained their winning spree as they advanced to the quarter-final round. Jotpal Singh ousted Santveer Singh 6-2, 6-1 while Manjot Singh beat Mahin Puri 6-1, 6-1.
Aarushi Kakkar also excelled against Hanshika as she raced to a fluent 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Top seed Charvi Saxena dropped just one game in the second set as she outplayed Gurmehar Kaur in straight sets 6-0, 6-1.
