SCC thrashes BCC by 48 runs, sails to next stage

JAMMU, Apr 19: Singh Cricket Club (SCC) thrashed BCC by a huge margin of 48 runs and sailed into the next stage of the ongoing Baisakhi Premier League T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Diamond Cricket Club at Government Boys School, Simble Camp, here today.
Batting first, after winning the toss, SCC chipped in 117 runs for all out in stipulated 20 overs. Monu was the top scorer with 20 runs including two boundaries and one six, while Tara and Aman also contributed 17 and 13 runs respectively.
For BCC side, Rahul, Kaku, Deepak Dogra and Deepak scalped 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, BCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 69 runs for all out in 14 overs. Amit chipped in 35 runs including three balls towards the fence and one over the fence, while Babli scored 20 runs with the help of one boundary.
For SCC side, Kuldeep and Aman were the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets each, while Ghara and Sunny scalped 2 wickets each.
Aman of SCC was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance.
The match was officiated by Kulbeer and Harcharan Bablu as umpires, while Swarn Singh maintained the scoreboard.
During the match, Ravinder Singh Bablu was the chief guest, while GS Michael, Sports Secretary, local populace and sports lovers were also present.
