PTS registers 2 wkts win over RCC, gets berth in final

KATHUA, Apr 19: PTS Kathua registered 2 wickets win over RCC Kathua and registered berth in the final of the ongoing Tawi Premier League T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Tawi Organizing Committee in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) at Sports Stadium, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss RCC Kathua made 107 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Amit was the top scorer who made 22 runs in 29 balls with the help of 2 boundaries, while Tonu chipped in 14 runs in 17 balls with the help of 1 boundary.
For PTS Kathua side, Aditya Partap and Ashwani bowled well and scalped 3 wickets each.
In the second inning PTS Kathua played well and chased the target in just 16.1 overs by losing 8 wickets. Aditya Partap scored 19 runs in 18 balls with the help of one ball towards the fence and two over the fence, whereas Rompy and Pankaj Ladda also contributed 15 runs each.
Sunny, Harry and Sanjay of RCC Kathua scalped 2 wickets each.
Aditya Partap of PTS Kathua was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance.
