DODA, Dec 25: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, today attended the closing ceremony of Sansad Khel Mahotsav organised under the theme “Yuva for Viksit Bharat” at Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, Doda. The three-month-long sports event was organised by the District Administration Doda in collaboration with the District Youth Services and Sports Department from September 21 to December 25, 2025, with the aim of promoting sports culture and youth empowerment.
The ceremony was attended by PO ICDS Doda Akhtar Hussain Qazi, Joint Director Education Doda Asfaq Khanzi, CPO Doda Manesh Kumar Manhas, besides officers, students and sportspersons. A live telecast of the national closing ceremony was screened, during which Prime Minister addressed and motivated young athletes.
Interacting with sportspersons, Deputy Commissioner assured redressal of issues raised regarding sports infrastructure and coaching. He directed the appointment of suitable coaches, development of cricket pitches, procurement of sports equipment and improvement of facilities for Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Wrestling and Kabaddi. Outstanding players were felicitated on the occasion.
