JAMMU, Nov 30: The Sai Shyam College of Education, Ghou-Manhasa, Jammu conducted the election for members of College Students Council session 2014-15, here today.
The election was conducted under the supervision of Rajinder Kour and H K Kitchloo Senior Lecturers of the College.
Prior to election, Dr Usha Tickoo, Principal of the College explained the varied roles to be played by the elected members of the Council and opined that given responsibilities, students develop in them a sense of leadership and organizational capabilities, which is one of the important objectives of Higher Education.
Suman Bhagat was elected as general secretary, while Shubha Mishra Academic as secretary.
Stanzin Charol was elected as cultural secretary, while Om Prakash was elected as sports secretary. Rajinder Singh and Ravi Kumar were elected as Student’s representatives.
The newly elected Council members addressed the students on the occasion.
