Romesh Gupta Memorial Trust organises cycle rally

JAMMU, June 9: Romesh Gupta Memorial Trust today organized cycle rally in Bishnah town.
The cycle rally was organised in commemoration of Late Romesh Gupta, who was well known social activist of the Bishnah Constituency and former MD of Bishnah Cooperative Marketing Society. Around more than 100 students of the area participated in the rally.
The cycle rally was flagged-off by MLA Bishnah constituency Dr Kamal Arora in presence of Tehsildar Bishnah, SHO Bishnah Inspector Paramjit Singh and others.
The rally started from Palli Morh Bishnah and culminated at Bishnah Cooperative Marketing Society.
At the culmination point, more then 500 villagers from the Bishnah constituency gathered to pay tribute to Late Romesh Gupta.
MLA Bishnah Dr Kamal Arora while paying tribute to Romesh Gupta stressed upon organising of sports activities for the youth. While remembering the services of the Romesh Gupta, he said that Romesh Gupta throughout his life worked for the betterment of the people of the constituency and he had affection for the youth.
Romesh Gupta Memorial Trust distributed prize of Rs 5100, Rs 3100 and Rs 2100 to first prize winner and runners up respectively. Certificates of participation and Rs 500 were distributed to all the participating students by MLA Bishnah.
The Trust members also reiterated that the Trust will organize more such programmes in the Bishnah constituency and take forward the mission of  Late Romesh Gupta.
