RKFC to face Shillong Lajong FC in I-League match today

SRINAGAR, Feb 1: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) will face Shillong Lajong FC in a crucial I-League encounter tomorrow at TRC Ground, Srinagar. Both teams are currently tied with 16 points from 11 matches, making the match a critical one for both sides as they aim to improve their standing in the league.
RKFC head coach Ishfaq Ahmad expressed confidence ahead of the match, noting that while Shillong Lajong FC is a strong team, he is hopeful of a positive result. He highlighted the challenges faced by RKFC in away games, especially the difficulty of adjusting to extreme temperature differences.
Ishfaq also emphasized the importance of an indoor stadium in Kashmir for better winter training. RKFC player Mohammad Hammad added that playing at home gives them an advantage but agreed that adapting to varying temperatures on away trips remains a challenge. The match is expected to be a hard-fought contest.
