JAMMU, Jan 13: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC), Srinagar and Oriental club crushed their rivals and entered into the next round of the ongoing 3rd Christmas T-20 Cricket Cup for college students and J&K cricketers at Parade cricket ground, here today.
In the first match, RCC Srinagar defeated SCC by 69 runs.
Batting first, RCC Srinagar scored 199 runs in stipulated 18 overs for loss of 6 wickets. Satish scored unbeaten 83 runs and Aman made half century.
For SCC side, Nazir and Sheroj took 2 wickets each, whereas Ashraf and Maroof shared 1 wicket each.
SCC in reply failed to chase the target and bundled out at 135 runs in 18 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Aijaz scored 39 runs and Manzoor made 23 runs.
For RCC side, Dilbag and Kuldeep claimed 3 wickets each while Aman took one wicket.
Satish of RCC Srinagar was declared as man of the match.
In the second match, Oriental Club scripted win over Young Star XI by 48 runs.
Batting first, Oriental Club made 183 runs in 18 overs for all out. Vaneet Raina scored 62 runs and Chander made 23 runs.
For Young Star XI side, Dipesh took 3 wickets, Abhishek and Anshul shared 2 wickets each and Prince claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, Young Star XI bundled out at 135 runs for all out in 17.3 overs. Prince made 39 runs, Vinayak scored 34 runs and Shubam contributed with 18 runs.
For Oriental Club side, Bunty took 2 wickets, whereas Vicky and Deepak shared one wicket each.
Vaneet Raina of Oriental Club was adjudged as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Suhail Yusuf, Nitu Khokher, Vinod and Farooq.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Khalsa Cricket Club will take on Country Cricket Club and Tanishta Club will lock horns with Romi Singh Club.
