JAMMU, July 25: S. Ravin-der Singh was unanimously elected as the President of the Association in the Annual General Body Meeting of J&K Cycling Association held today at Amar Singh Club, here.
According to the reports, he has already enjoyed two terms of 4 years each and this is his 3rd term. His name was proposed by Sunil Sharma and Mushtaq Ahmed and was seconded by Ravi Salgotra.
S. Sarwant Singh Gill and Ravi Salgotra were elected Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
The House unanimously authorized the newly elected President to elect his team of office bearers and executive members in consultation with senior members.
Two minutes silence was observed to condole the sad demise of Late S. Rangil Singh, President J&K Olympic Association and Capt. Ranjit Singh, father of Senior member SHS Gill.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma briefed the members about the achievements of State Cycling Association.
Ajay Sharma, International Table Tennis player was observer from J&K Olympic Association, while Kuldip Singh Jamwal acted as the Returning Officer.
Prominent amongst the members present on the occasion were RC Thakur, HS Gill, Sunil Sharma, Vikas Gupta, Mohd. Akbar, Mushtaq Ahmed, Om Parkash Sharma, Ravinder Singh Babbi, Raj Kumar Jyoti, Vijay Saraf, Tanvir Ahmed, Vinod Bhatia, Nirmal Singh, S. Parvinder Singh, Goldy, Tarsem Sharma and Rahul Kumar.
