RAMBAN, July 25: Ramban zone defeat Gool zone in the district Level Inter Zone under 14 cricket tournaments being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at District Police Line here.
In the final match Ramban zone thrashed Gool zone by 44 runs. Electing to bat first Ramban scored 106 runs in 10 overs. Tanvir Ahmed of Government City Middle School and Mohd Adil of Ramban Public School scored 45 runs for the third wicket. Tanvir scored unbeaten 50 runs in 30 balls while Adil scored 25 runs in 12 balls.
Chasing the mammoth total 106 runs the bowlers of Ramban bundled out the rivals for 62 runs. Adil again gave tremendous performance with ball clamming 4 wicket for just 12 runs. Only Rahil and Yasir from Gool zone could cross two digit score, then other batsman could not score thus lost the match by 44 runs.
The match was officiated by Mohd Ramzan and Masrat Ahmed while Jagar Singh was the scorer of the final match.
