RCC Srinagar drubs Shastri Club to enter semis

JAMMU, July 25: Outplaying Shastri Cricket Club by a narrow margin of 6 runs in the quarterfinals, RCC Srinagar sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup 2015 Tournament sponsored by KC Motors Jammu and played at KC Public School Cricket ground, here.
Earlier, RCC won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, RCC scored a modest total of 118 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ahatsham Malik and Ankit Bason scored 33 and 24 runs respectively. For SCC, Varun took 3 wickets and Vickey claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, SCC managed to score 112 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by a narrow margin of 6 runs. Chander scored 27 runs for his side and Dekker made 19 runs. Monu Singh took 2 wickets and Aman also claimed 2 wickets. RCC won the match by 8 runs. Monu Singh was declared man of the match.
Sadiq Hussain Malik, Honey Chib Singh and Rajinder Singh were the officials of the match.
