JAMMU, Nov 25: All-rounder Rajkumar Bakshi scored unbeaten 62 runs before taking 2 important wickets as University of Jammu defeated Kolhapur University by 6 wickets in the ongoing All India T20 Vice Chancellors Cricket Cup at Mumbai.
Earlier, batting first, Kolhapur University scored a modest total of 117 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ramesh, Vishwanath and Rajesh contributed 24, 23 and 19 runs to the total respectively. For Jammu University, Pawan, Sandeep and Rajkumar bagged 2 wickets each by conceding 15, 21 and 30 runs respectively, while Daud and Rajesh claimed one wicket each by giving away 16 and 20 runs respectively.
In reply, Jammu University (JU) rode on a splendid unbeaten knock of 62 runs by Rajkumar Bakshi and valuable innings of 37 runs by Vishal to chase the target in just 12.5 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process, thus won the match by 6 wickets. For his all-round display, Rajkumar Bakshi was adjudged man of the match. The Jammu University team is being accompanied by Sunil Sahi as manager.
