POONCH, July 2: Rajinder Singh, a Taekwondo coach with Department of Youth Services and Sports from Poonch district, has qualified National Referee Refresher Course 2025. The prestigious course was held in Patna, Bihar from June 27 to 30, organized by Bihar Taekwondo Association under the aegis of India Taekwondo, the nationally recognized governing body.
As per handout issued, over 75 participants from across India took part, with training supervised by Amit Aggarwal, a Class-1 International Referee (WT). Rajinder Singh, credited as the founder of Taekwondo in Poonch, has been instrumental in promoting the sport since 2014. He has trained more than 70 UT-level gold medallists and over seven national medallists in recent years.
Priyanka Singh, President of District Poonch Taekwondo Association, congratulated him and praised his lasting impact on the region’s youth and martial arts culture.
