JAMMU, Feb 13: Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar declared open the 40th Inter-Collegiate Annual Athletic Meet in an impressive and well attended function at Jammu University, here today.
In his inaugural address, the Vice Chancellor showed concern for the thin participation of athletes and urged upon the Principals and the Physical Directors of all the Colleges of Jammu Province to make sure that the maximum students players participated in such type of competitions in future.
Earlier, Prof Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu presented welcome address.
Dilbag Singh, IGP, Jammu was the special guest on this occasion, while Dr Sonam Angchok, Assistant Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education presented vote of thanks.
