JAMMU, June 4: Presentation Convent outplayed Heritage School by a close margin of 4-3 goals and lifted the handball title trophy in U-14 girls category on the second day of the ongoing Inter-School District Level Competitions, being organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports here today.
In Boxing U-14 Boys (below 28 kg), Maan Singh of GHS Pull Tawi emerged winner, in 30-32 kg, Kamal Sharma of GHS Pull Tawi emerged winner, in 36-38 kg, Aditya Kumar of RS Public High School emerged winner, in 46-48 kg, Anil Kumar of MC Khalasa High School emerged winner, in 50-52 kg, Amit Sharma of MC Khalsa High School emerged winner and in 56-58 kg, Dev Singh of Diamond Public School Bajalta emerged winner.
In Boxing under-17 Boys (below 46 kg), Manil Wadhera of Heritage School emerged winner, whereas in 46-48 kg, Mohammad Arif of Government HS Pull Tawi emerged winner. In 48-50 kg, Rahul Kumar of Rainbow Public School bagged first rank, whereas in 50-52 kg, Guru Veer Singh of RS Public School emerged as winner. In 52-54 kg, Aryaveer Singh of BSF Paloura emerged winner, in 54-57 kg, Anil Kumar of Government HS Pull Tawi emerged winner, in 60-63 kg, Sourav Kumar of Universal HSS emerged winner and in 67-70 kg, Mohit Kumar of Heritage School emerged winner.
In Boxing U-17 girls (36-38 kg), Palvi Sharma of ASN HSS emerged as winner.
The boxing matches were officiated by Anil Wadhera, senior Boxing coach, Atul Pangotra, senior Boxer, Vinod Bhatia, Joginder Singh, Vinay Kumar, Sandeep Singh, Sunny, Vijay and Goutam.
The basketball matches were officiated by Vishal Bharti, Amit Kalsi, Rajesh Bandral, Vaneet and Mousmi Verma.
The handball matches were officiated by Chander Shekhar Dutta, Gourav Sharma, Jyoti Sharma, Satika Sharma and Arti Thakur.
The tournament is being organised under the chairmanship of Rishi Kumar, Deputy Director, Jammu and under the supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu.
