SRINAGAR, Sept 20: To enhance the mental horizon, local talent and latent caliber of the students, a presentation ceremony for distribution of cricket kits to various Government Girls Schools in Downtown, Srinagar and physically challenged children of Methan (Natipura), Srinagar was organised by 7 RR (Punjab), under aegis of HQ 31 Sub Area at the Corps lawn, here.
Lt Gen Om Prakash, AVSM, SM, GOC 15 Coprs distributed Cricket kits which consisted of all the items necessary to play cricket.
A total of 8 Government Schools along with the players and coach received the kits and also 15 deaf and dumb children received the same during the ceremony.
In his closing speech the GOC said days are not far when any one of the students would be a proud recipient of an Olympic medal and will make this country proud.
The ceremony ended with the closing speech by the Secretary Hyderya Club, Srinagar.
